Those Teenaged Girls

Life with Teen-aged Girls
We are late comers to the Modern Family fan club but have been hooked ever since a marathon rainy weekend of watching the entire first season. What's so endearing about this show (besides the fact that I have a huge crush on the hapless Phil) is that every family obviously sees a bit of themselves in it.

Just the other day I arrived home to find 3 of the 4 girls racing around the family room singing In the Moonlight (Do Me) at the top of their lungs (think Tom Cruise in Risky Business) and playing their guitars while the full version of the song blasted  in the background on You Tube.

This, the girls announced with huge grins, is going to be their summer "song" which will be certain to mortify charming husband who (in full Phil Dunphy mode) already found it awkward enough to watch the original episode while one of the boyfriends (who was notably not awkward) sat beside him on the couch.  So much for those intelligent demure young ladies . . . and who are their parents again?

[The full version can't be embedded anymore (it's obviously a huge hit now), but here's the link to see the post-episode video with added footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzKtgPXS7PE&feature=related]
